Here is the Gayatri Mantra:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat

The Gayatri Mantra is a prayer from the ancient Indian text, the Rig Veda. It is dedicated to the aspect of the sun (or supreme being) just before sunrise—and all of the potential energy and light emanating from the entire cosmos. It is an expression of gratitude for the life-giving Sun and the Divine; asking to be freed of all misconceptions and to realize our own divine brilliance (or our oneness with pure consciousness).

I find it comforting to know that this is a longing that is as old as humankind and that millions of people have chanted it. Even if you are totally caught up in the misconceptions, may connecting with this longing in this sacred way support you.
