This exercise invites you to think about something you want or desire in your life. It could be something small or a big vision you have. We are going to ask your unconscious mind what you need to do or what's stopping you from getting to the other side, to get to your desire. There is no wrong way to do this. Just open your mind and relax and just see whatever shows up.

Visualizations provide an opportunity for us to work with a situation in the symbolic language of the unconscious, so that we can receive a new sense of the issue from a deeper part of ourselves. But even if we don’t consciously receive a clear symbol we can trust that visualizations do influence the unconscious mind.

From the perspective of neuroscience, visualizations prime our brains with pictures of what we want to experience in our lives. Additionally, our brains do not know the difference between something we’ve imagined and actual memories. So in visualizing something - such as overcoming an obstacle - it’s as though we’re actually experiencing it and it imprints on our brain in much the same way as an actual memory.
